Rules and Regulations
New admission and university requirement
Admissions will only be confirmed when full payment of the prescribed fee has been made.
Students' admission process is carried out by receiving the eligibility certificate (if required). The student shall obtain their eligibility certificate from the university.
If original documents like mark sheet of the qualifying examination, migration certificate/transfer certificate, and gap certificate are not produced during the admission, then the admission is liable to be canceled.
Fee Payment Schedule
Each course is designed with a different fee structure specified by the University.
New joiners should pay their term fees in one schedule. Existing students are permitted to pay the fees in two installments within the date specified by the management.
In case of delay in fee deposition, a fine of Rs.50/- per day will be imposed for arts and science students. The fine amount of Rs.100/-is levied for every day for the late payment of fees for Cheran Institute of Health science.
The payment of fees within time specified by the university is the responsibility of the guardians and the students themselves.
The annual course fee for all the courses may be increased according to the university norms.
Dress code
Proper dress code should be followed by the students inside the campus.
Students should wear neatly pressed dress along with formal shirts and pants for male students. Female students should wear chudidhar with pinned dupattas along with their identity cards.
Attendance
All students must attend all theory and practical classes compulsorily and regularly during college hours.
Students will be terminated, and no excuse will be entertained if the attendance is less than 75%. Students will not be eligible to appear in the university examination according to the norms of the university.
All leave applications shall be submitted to the faculty in-charge of their department.
Any student absent for more than seven consecutive days will have to inform the concerned head of the departments or the respective class teacher.
If a student remains absent for 30 days, his/her admission can be canceled by the principal.
The percentage of attendance shall directly be reflected in the internal assessment marks of the students.
Library
College issues textbooks for the benefit of students at the time of each semester/year, which is to be returned within seven days after completion of written exams of their semester/year. Failing to return the books student, have to pay a fine amount based on library committee administration decision.
If any student misplaces or damages the book, he/she will be liable to pay the current price of the book. An additional amount of Rs.100/- should be paid as procurement charges.
Reference books will not be issued to the students and can be utilized only within the library itself.
Laboratory
The student should pay the breakage amount if there is any damage or loss of college property, equipment, computers, articles, and apparatus due to unavoidable circumstances.
The student should work under the guidance of the concerned faculty in the laboratories.
Internal Assessment
Cheran Colleges conducts three internal examinations in a semester/year as per the university norms.
If a student fails to secure the minimum marks in each subject, then they are considered to fail in the main examination.
University enrollment and exam
Students can enroll with the university by submitting the enrollment forms in the college, within the date specified by the university along with requisite fees. If the student submits the enrollment forms late then, they should pay late fees as per the guidelines of the university.
Games and sports
Students shall participate in games and sports activities as per interest.
Sports officer has authority to select students for various individual and team events.
College Leaving Certificate
The student shall apply for the college leaving certificate after the completion of the course along with the enclosure of the final mark sheet.
College leaving certificate will be issued only when the student has deposited the fees for the entire course.
Students can apply for college leaving certificate within the time specified by the management. When a student fails to apply within the date, then a fine amount of Rs. 500/- is imposed on every day.
